I just posted a review of Roald Dahl’s The BFG over at the Teen Lit Review blog and wanted to share the link here. If you’ve not visited the Teen Lit Review blog, you need to do so! It’s a fairly new blog where several of us review pre-teen, teen and young adult books. We give very thorough reviews so that you can make more informed decisions about what your children will read. I really appreciate all the reviews because, even though I strive to read all the books my children will read, I am only one person and it is very time-consuming.

I am a mom who has been blessed with the opportunity to educate my children at home. Most days are great...some days though, you might just catch me in a corner rocking back and forth with my eyes glazed over! Rest assured though that God is teaching them...well us...ok, ok...ME many lessons!!

Gus' Gang
Our family started this small ministry after Gus, our fifth child, died while awaiting a liver/small bowel transplant. We strive to reach out and encourage those families with chronically ill children and families who are grieving the loss of a child.

11|Mar|2008 1My daughter’s class just finished reading this book! She is 9 and in the 4th grade. They made huge paper giants, decorated them and hung them up down the hall of our school. Super fun!
