Have I told you all how much I love, love, love Explode the Code??  Well, I do and it’s because Belle is doing so well with the books.  Seriously, she is like a reading maniac right now and that is fantastic!!  I’m just thrilled!!
Jake has been reviewing fractions these past couple of days.  He doesn’t […]

Seriously folks, I’m going to have to confess something. I am soooooo over studying about Ancient Greece and we’ve only hit the tip of the iceberg…bleh! I think we will take a few review days and then move on…before I croak. We’ve covered things well and even dug in a little deeper […]

Free Bird Curriculum

As I was looking through TerraCycle’s site just a bit ago, I noticed that they have provided a nice curriculum to go along with their birdfeeder. TerraCycle is new to me…just saw the company featured on a tv show. Basically, they produce organic fertilizers, potting soil and plant food. The main […]

Today we read a neat book titled Archimedes Takes a Bath by Joan M. Lexau.

Face Behind the Blog Photo
I am a mom who has been blessed with the opportunity to educate my children at home. Most days are great...some days though, you might just catch me in a corner rocking back and forth with my eyes glazed over! Rest assured though that God is teaching them...well us...ok, ok...ME many lessons!!

Gus' Gang

Our family started this small ministry after Gus, our fifth child, died while awaiting a liver/small bowel transplant. We strive to reach out and encourage those families with chronically ill children and families who are grieving the loss of a child.
